Why is kikwang on crutches

They say his voice will return. The old man who occupies the bed next to him used to be in the Army and they tap secret messages back and forth after lights off every night. Jonghyun taps thank you and goodbye and some time past midnight, he hears vague taps in response.

Jonghyun greets Minwoo with a quiet grin amidst the noisy downpour outside. He points out his favourite tree, that rose bush just behind the morgue and the boy who has cancer, who lives alone in a room on the third floor.

Minwoo talks and is talked to, and Jonghyun spends his Sundays in the library in stifling silence. He reads books about love lost and found and learns that one needs a voice to say I love you.

Jonghyun has a collection of markers in different colours and a spiralbound of white papers. He begins talking about being discharged, about dancefloors in glittery clubs and the deafening cheers of a crowd.

Minwoo only hears his silence. Jonghyun screams. Yunho carefully positions his hands, checks his posture because this is not his usual fare of hard-hitting beats. He feels like a trainee all over again and Yunho closes his eyes to concentrate on swaying to the music.

Until the door clicks open and Yunho finds his hands pressed against warm skin instead of empty air. He doesn't miss a step and they move in unison. He counts their synchronised heartbeats, perfectly aligned with the music.

Waltz is slow, beautifully-languid and Yunho wants to avoid crashing at breakneck speed as long as he can. Yunho keeps his eyes closed even when soft lips murmurs softer words into the curl of his mouth. Revisits it even after the music stops, after the dancing studio grows silent and dark.

Even after they have both decided to let go. You figured that you're dead when you woke up upside down, floating around the hospital ward.

It's awkward, being dead. You're lighter than air, slightly translucent you could see right through your hand and that freaked you out the first time but were solid enough to bump your head on the ceiling and the wall and everything. You were trying to avoid crashing into the IV drip when the door banged open, followed by a cacophony of sound that could wake up the dead.

There were people around your once? He wasn't crying and you could've hated him for that, but you saw your mother's tears and was thankful he didn't love you as much. Your heart would've stopped if it could oh, stop with the dead people jokes already and you turned to see a grinning face surrounded by a shroud of black fabric floating beside you.

You didn't see the scythe but you've read enough, knew enough to be apprehensive. The grin widened. It wore the disguise of a young man about your age, blonde hair streaking out under oversized hood and you don't think reapers are allowed to look so cheerful.

Your mother's sobs grew fainter and you stared at the reaper until the sound subsided into murmurs as they filed out of the room, ushered by grim-faced nurses and a doctor with useless apologies.

You tried to wrap your head around the oddly bureauractic turn this conversation had taken and decided that the afterworld was a bizarre place to be. The reaper's face lit up and it shifted into what you could only assume as a more comfortable position to explain the intricate details of their negotiation.

And you didn't think that you could've cut a better deal. Minwoo glances at Seungri, who seems both absorbed and distracted, the shadows underneath his eyes more pronounced than ever. Have you seen Dongwan hyung? I want him to show me those moves he did last night.

Trust Seungri to attract the wild animals of the concrete jungle. Guy, short hair, eyes like a panda? I saw him walk in maybe ten minutes ago. Because Seungri is his responsibility. Who are you anyway? I gave that to Panda. Why is it with you? And talk. Pass him a message? He watches quietly as Jiyong fumbles with a pen, writes down numbers onto a strip of pristine white and a short note, probably some pretty little words of persuasion.

Jiyong scowls at the note for a second, before he cuts across the distance between them in a few heartbeats. The paper is folded in half. Minwoo realises that Jiyong might be something that Seungri needs to survive the city. The hollow of his cheeks, the underside of his eyes are painted in shadows. Congratulations on winning the Mutizen.

The crowd moves in one gigantic cheer. He runs a hand through short, cropped hair dyed as dark as his eyes. Kikwang looks and he sees. Empty space, emptier smiles. Yunho is a machine without all the crucial cogs, functioning out of necessity alone. Someone shouted something, penetrates through the noise and Yunho cocks his head, listening.

His eyes glitter and gloss over. Hyunseung and Dongwoon press at his sides and Doojoon watches them with the benign grace of a leader. Not in this lifetime.

Seungri grunts something rude and glares at Seunghyun. He might believe it. It seems then, as fans knew about the incident before the agency announced it, the story leans toward truth rather than simple media play.

You can put away your needless sense of justice. Spreading distorted versions of what happened as the truth is close to crime … How upsetting.

What did these young friends do to deserve this? What is the truth? Is it that important to us living our lives…? From what I know, regarding kids fighting over whether Hwayoung was bullied or not, I think it is the netizens who made Hwayoung out to be the victim of bullying. To what extent is the question… There are things about the celebrity industry that non-stars will never understand….

Photo: Tweets of those who have worked with T-ara. The umbrella being broken happened before that and T-ara tried to put it over together. Hwayoung deserved to be bullied. All because of one wrong member, the entire group hit rock bottom and all of them lost their dreams.
