You can then delve even further using tabs that feature General Info basic info and other notes , Battle Info battle stats and abilities , and Comments additional user-submitted info.
It's all right there for each and every pet in the game. Another excellent tool on the WarcraftPets site is the ability to track your collection online. You can fully customize a checklist of every pet you hope to collect, excluding any that you're unable to collect or prefer not to add. You can also print a hardcopy of this checklist. In addition to the pet and item name, your printed checklist will include the source of every pet on the list.
Think of it as your own personal pet collecting cheat sheet while you play. A link is available beneath your collection so that you may share your progress with friends and guildmates. Additionally, your collection will be available for others to browse by realm. One of WarcraftPets' most powerful features is our member search tool. This feature allows you to find other pet collectors that play on your realm, allowing you to team up for pet farming and trading.
You can also more easily find your friends here at WarcraftPets when you search for them by username. To take advantage of this tool, you'll want to update your account with your character name, region, realm, and faction.
Most players have a main character that they play more than any others. It's best to collect as many pets as you can on your main. This provides a few key benefits, such as earning pet-related achievements. A few of these achievements even unlock even more pets, such as Stinker and the Little Fawn. There are also a few reasons you may wish to collect pets with more than one toon. A handful of pets are chosen as seasonal quest rewards from a choice of several, making it difficult to collect all of them with the same character at least until the quest becomes available again the following year.
Another reason is because there are a handful of pets that are Alliance- or Horde-only. If you have a character of both factions, you'll have the opportunity to collect all of those pets and have them count toward your pet total. A few of you are probably thinking, "Farming? In our case, those items happen to be small pets.
You can filter pets by ' dropped ' to discover what items are dropped by which mobs and how often they drop. After killing 5, mobs without your pet dropping, you'll probably feel drained and frustrated.
As upset as you might get, try to remember that farming is all about patience and persistence. While you may want to give up, it's entirely possible that mob 5, is the one holding your pet. Any pets that are tradable can be bought at auction. So if you simply can't tolerate farming for that 1 in 1, drop, you can play the auction house AH instead. Watch for your pet - So long as your pet is tradable, there's a good chance you can find it on the AH If possible, logon with your bank alt at least once a day and run a search for your pet use the item name.
Common pets tend to appear most often, allowing you to pick and choose what you're willing to pay. Rare pets can also be rare finds on the AH, forcing you to pay whatever the seller is asking and the prices can be outrageous. Therefore, knowing the average auction price for your pet is a big help.
Know your pet's worth - You can use addones, like Auctioneer to learn the average auction prices on your server for most tradable pets. Reference these prices often to help you determine whether you're getting a good deal or whether you're being taken to the cleaners. Sell extra vendored pets at a profit - Small pets tend to sell pretty well at auction, but can be hit or miss. If you're the risk-taking type, you might consider buying and selling vendored pets on the AH.
If you're visiting the vendor anyway, why not buy three or four extra pets and try to turn a profit. Depending on the current market, you can often make a healthy profit.
Ready to start collecting? Keep up that enthusiasm and you'll have a plethora of pets before you know it! Your initial approach to pet collecting is going to depend on a few key factors: your current level, your gold supply, and how much time you have. Lower level characters aren't going to have access to all of the zones and gold that higher level characters take for granted.
So if you're in that boat, you may have a slower start. But don't let that discourage you—in the end, pet collecting is all about patience and perseverance. Level hardly matters in the long term. That said, one of the best starting strategies is to collect zone by zone.
So remember, in order to receive any trapped pet, you must win the overall battle. If you happen to trap the first opponent on a wild pet team, but lose the match against the second critter, the first pet will be lost and you will have to try again with another wild pet.
Pets with [epic] and [legendary] qualities are not yet accessible to players as of Patch 5. But Blizzard has stated they fully intend to implement them in the future. These different qualities affect a pet's battle stats. The higher the quality, the better its health, speed and attack values. These values will also scale better as you level your battle pet. Stats can vary even if two pets share the same rarity.
For example, one uncommon quality cat might have more health but less power and speed, while a second uncommon quality cat has less health but more power and speed. This is because each of these cats could have different breeds.
You can learn more about breeds and breed IDs here. Each battle-ready pet on our site has a "Battle Info" tab in its pet profile. At the top of this tab, you'll find the pet's stat calculator. You can adjust the pet's level and rarity, and then cycle through all of its available breeds. Note that some pets only come in one breed. Cycling through each breed will tweak the overall stats of the pet. Curious about the actual formula used to calculate each pet's battle stats?
The quality of captured wild pets is random. As of patch 5. There is no accurate way to determine a pet's quality prior to the start of a battle. Different qualities aren't limited only to wild pets—many rare World drops and special non-wild companions have had their stats boosted.
Check your Pet Journal to see the color-coded rarity of your non-wild pets. Battle-Stones were introduced in patch 5. Battle-Stones can be found in the Tamer daily reward bag, or randomly awarded to you after defeating a wild pet in battle.
There's also a small chance to earn one by defeating a player in a queued PVP match. Defeating a higher level pet increases your chances of getting a stone. Polished Battle-Stones can be purchased for 1, Justice Points. Additionally, the trainers in Stormwind and Orgrimmar will trade one Marked Flawless Battle-Stone in exchange for three of a kind family-specific Flawless Battle-Stone.
Pet breeds are used to determine the primary stats Health, Power, Speed of your battle pets. So if you want to maximize your pets' fighting potential, understanding how breeds and breed IDs work is crucial.
Due to the depth and complexity of pet breeds and their ID system, we've developed this section of our Guide to Battle Pets as a stand-alone guide:. A new quest will pop up once your first pet reaches level 3. Defeating each of these NPCs will reward a nice chunk of experience for your pets, as well a Sack of Pet Supplies which has the chance to drop the Porcupette companion, among the always-useful pet bandages.
There are two parts of the quest chain for each continent. The first part involves defeating numerous Master Pet Tamers, and the second requires you to triumph over the Grand Master Tamer. After you've bested the Grand Master Tamer, dailies from each Tamer will unlock for that continent. All the dailies continue to reward experience for your companions, however only the Grand Master daily quest will reward the Sack of Pet Supplies. Keep in mind that these quests are optional, and are not necessary to continue leveling and capturing companions.
They are also account-wide, so if you complete the quest chain on one character, you will not be able to complete it again on another. However, any progress that you've made will be saved and you can pick up where you left off in the quest chain on another character. The dailies that you've unlocked will also be accessible by all your toons. For more information on each Pet Tamer and the complete quest chain, take a look at this post in our forums. To battle against a randomly chosen player and their team of companions, simply hit the Find Battle button in your Pet Journal.
The queuing system will attempt to match your team up with an opponent's team of similar level. However, unlike the PVE version, the PVP combat system is timed and any ability for each round must be chosen within that time limit otherwise it will assume you have passed a turn.
A time penalty is applied if you take more than 15 seconds to choose an action, resulting in progressively shorter round timers for you. Additionally, during a queued Pet Battle you will not be able to speak with your opponent or see their name, realm, or guild.
You won't be able to capture any of their companions either. Each skill a pet can use is classified itself and, needless to say, these classifications can differ from the pet's class. In fact, the attacking row covers the spell a pet uses against another pet, the defending column stands for the class of the defending pet as the table pretends. Comment by hjp Wanted to note the Jade Crane Chick is only sold to Pandaren of either faction, by their respective vendors.
Comment by argogruelin what I'd like to see added is a zone map by level ex. Terrokar Forrest - Critter, Beast - level 19 what I'm looking for is a power leveling guild to speed quickly into grabbing some of the high level MoP pets. I've been semi successful up through the beginning of BC. Using beasts to cap critters, critters to cap undead, undead to cap humanoid. Stepping up 2 levels at a time. Comment by opalexian Thumbs up for Jiji reference! RIP Phil :. Comment by Elarink While most of your information is correct, your information on the voodoo figurine is not.
On my main character, Elarink From Darkspear US , has obtained it from his archaeology at exactly skill. Your guide, however, says it will nor appear until skill. One of my friend's characters, Clarlar Also from Darkspear US found the fossilized hatchling at only 78 skill.
I believe that this has nothing to do with skill, but there is just a small chance that you will get it. Comment by I'd just like to add Lofty Libram to your list. Comment by r8dj Great job on the match-up table. Very handy quick ref. Comment by TuppuP Terrible turnip is not a zone drop, you have change to get it every time you harvest a crop.

Comment by cheethawolf There should exist an achievment called "Raptor madness" based in collecting all the raptor B pets in Azeroth. Guaranteed to save you several hours of farming for rare spawn pets! Once you get picked up you transfer to that server If not leave group and re-que for a different group. Took me times before finding a server that has the the rare spawn pet or world rare spawns.
Eazy as pie Tip: to speed up the que time enter a high item level in comments you get picked up in less than 40 secs. Also the above method works for rare world spawns Comment by Anyone know if there is a guide like this out for mounts? Please keep the following in mind when posting a comment: Your comment must be in English or it will be removed. Unsure how to post? The Shadowlands expansion introduced new battle pets and 28 combat pets.
Even in , there are still a few collectible pets that have yet to be found, and others that are incredibly rare. This list includes the rare battle pets that only a small percentage of players have been fortunate enough to acquire. Below are the most uncommon pets in Shadowlands , and where we think you can find them. The flying battle pet has somehow eluded WoW players for several months. There have been rumblings that Courage has been spotted in an auction house, but there is no concrete evidence of where the battle pet can be found.
Speculation in the community is that the pet may be a world drop. There are two other possibilities. However, it could also be a rare drop while completing one of the Bastion instances on courage difficulty, such as the Path of Ascension.
The color tones do match Kalisthene. For now, gamers will only be able to get the battle pet from the auction house, if it is ever found.
