Our First Reading from the Book of Genesis assures us that our longing for union with Him is nothing compared to His desire for union with us.

On this first Sunday of Lent , let us remember that our Redeemer is drawing near to us, every day, breaking into our lives, bringing to completion His victory over sin and death. The Kingdom of God is at hand. If we want to make the world a less sinful place, we have to take the advice of the late pop singer Michael Jackson and begin with the person in the mirror.
